About our Sponsor

Ann Bergquist has sponsored her D Class Cup for three years, but her involvement in the WDCGA spans the past thirty-five years. During her years as a District member, Ann has been active in the WDCGA as a member of the Executive Board, the Handicap Committee, Rules Committee, and as chair of various tournaments. Her generous contributions were formally recognized in 2006, when Ann was presented with the WDCGA Sharon Briggs Award for Distinguished Service.

A supporter of golf even beyond the WDCGA, Ann was a member of the founding committee of the Maryland State Golf Association Women’s Division (MSGA-WD) in 1995, and a recipient of the MSGA-WD Distinguished Service Award in 1996. She has been an active member of Kenwood Country Club, both in the Women’s Golf Association and on the Executive Board.

Ann says she decided to sponsor her Cup “to thank the WDCGA for all they have done for me for thirty-five years”. The WDCGA can’t thank Ann enough for all that she has given to our organization.
